While the airline will fly you backwards hundreds of miles to a hub and then hundreds of miles forward to get to a city that may be as little as only 200 miles away
Amtrak is far worse in this regard, IMHO. For example, I can fly fairly easily from Denver to Minneapolis, but I’d have to swap trains in Chicago to do it by train.
It crossed my mind, too. Something seems different, though. It’s been awhile since I looked at a Trainfinder post, but the writing style here seems different than what I remember from Trainfinder. Either way, I don’t think I’ll put a lot of effort into future posts…
Add Houston, Atlanta, Twin Cities, Philly, Detroit, Denver, Dallas, Cinci, Charlotte, Salt Lake City, Memphis, New York, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Nashville, Dulles, and Chicago midway. I am sure some others that are I can not think of right now. Also Pittsburg is no longer considered a hub airport.
