[tup]That was great, thanks!
I know for those of us with dial-up it can take a while to view. I’m glad that I switched over to Road Runner Lite. There are loads and loads of train videos on You Tube.
That Seaboard Coast Line train brings back so many fond memories. That Leslie S5 series horn was etched into my brain 30 years ago. The last geep in the consist sounded like its dynamic brakes were howling!
I especially enjoyed seeing those high-nosed Southern and Norfolk & Western units. Those Southern locomotives were really cooking up the rails.
Very [4:-)]enjoyable.
On the WM/Chessie vid;I can’t figure out what those ‘tubes’ are at the begining of the video.
I looked at that video. They appear to be semi-truck trailers. Looks like the type that carry wet and dry chemicals but I’m not certain.
There is a forum member here who operated tractor-trailer trucks in the past . Hopefully he’ll chime in with the answer.
There are some amazing videos of trains on YouTube. And some not-so-amazing ones (phony shots of people getting hit and the like). The train accident videos, the real ones, are pretty amazing to watch. And there is one of what has to be the world’s longest intermodal train going by though I’m not sure the name of that one. You can spend a good deal of time watching.
