How do you operating people handle the odd hours, calls and family life when RR’ing?
I’m a lifelong fan and wanted to go RR’ing in the 50’'s " Gotta be rough, Kid because railroads won’t be around here much longer" was all I got from Reading employees.
I’d brought my kid to Sand Patch., 17 Mile, Orbisonia and even camping on the bluff over LV jct and he never caught the fascination (probably a bad word here ) with the railroad I had lived around growing up in Reading.
Want your kid to be a railroader?
