Fascinating commercials

My apologies if these have been listed here before, but I thought they were quite sobering, and very well done. Perhaps Operation Lifesaver could pick up a few pointers here.

I think these have shown up here before. Powerful stuff!

I wouldn’t be able to look at something like that more than once. But I agree, Jim–we need to have some thought-provoking ads like that to get the point across. And if it saves even one life, it would be worth it.

Wow, nicely done.

First time I’ve seen those.

Wow, those really get the old ticker racing and blood pressure up there for a minute or two…Operation Lifesaver here in the USA should really consider modifying these for US viewers and running them…they may just save some lives which is what it is all about.

WOW!

I do agree with you here. There are so many commercials out like “Click it or Tick it” or “You Drink You Drive You Lose”, that involve making the smart decision while driving on the road. This is all well and good but, the DMV tends to ignor one of the most important aspects of safe driving which is, safety at railroad crossings. Commercials, demonstrating what could happen or what has happened in terms of train/car collisions. This way the American public can view some of the fatil accidents at railroad crossings, which is something many drivers tend to overlook.

The NTSB has set up and videotaped numerous real train car collisions? Why aren’t any of these released to the public?

Those are very sobering commercials; and the general populous
needs to see them.

I would say that they should be submitted to all our major TV net-
works for public viewing, or would that constitute too much violence
on TV?!?![%-)]
