Hi all…started with NYC Flyer Lionel set…fastrack 3rail …80 w transformer and have now expanded to about 80’ of track with 4 remote switches and only 2 terminal track sections…Is there a rule of thumb for terminal spacing because where the Loco slows is not relative to the terminals as far asI can tell. Also…I am pulling about 16 - 20 cars at a time …some die cast with weight to them but most ABS with metal trucks…Also ,what is best lube method if any for Loco gears/wheels. Do lighted cars/caboose etc draw much power/… Should I wire switches to the accessory post ?..right now they draw from track???Thanks Dan
Thanks for all the info…can’t wait to ask another question…8 days and I went 0 for 30 something …talk about a slump… If my questions were truly too BENEATH anyone , please tell me because I really do not know…If knowone has any feedback for real, than I am the foremost expert on Fastrak and will field any questions you may have…Thanks again…

I’m not sure why no one answering. It is easy to make any fasttrack piece a terminal, all pieces have provision underneath to add wire with push on terminals . or you can solder them on. I would start by dividing the layout into 4 and adding 3 more power drops. Also try cleaning with cleaning fluid of a very light abrasive scotchbrite. On my Lionel set I find areas of varying speed becasue I live in an old house and it is not level. All that sadi you may want to repost on the Classic Toy Trains forums thats where all the Larger scale guys and gals hang out. Sorry you were ignored, Fast Track is still kind of new and unknown to smaller scale guys. I do “N” and “O” so I understand. Dave

Don’t get discouraged about replies to your topic(s). Sometimes, that’s just the way it is.
I’m no “frequent flyer” with this stuff - but lately I’ve been on the site more than in many, many previous months. I’m still waiting for responses to messages I posted weeks ago. Some games are won, some lost and others are rained out!
Consider how many people browse this forum and all the topics, then perhaps you’ll see, as I did, that at that particular time, your topic just didn’t “hit” with someone. Nothing personal at all.
Suggest you do a search on “Lionel FasTrack” for all forums in the “search the forums” window - you’ll get all kinds of info on the subject. Maybe not exactly in answer to your question, but perhaps - these topic pages fill up and in no time are relegated to “page 12 or 24, or …” get my point?
