fastrack reverse loop

I am new at this and in a hurry. I’m sure someone already has figured out what pieces and how many a person would need to build a reverse loop with 72 inch fastrack. I’m assuming that at a minimum it would be a complete 72 inch loop and a 72 inch switch, but I have feeling there is more to it than that! What else will I need?

Scroll down the page and you will see an O72 Fastrack reverse loop as well as a double line O84/072 Fastrack reverse loop.

Here is the part list for the O72 Reverse loop but it’s not obvious how to do it unless you look at the picture above.

Have fun!!!

$192.25…? Ouch.

you can make one shorter and cheaper using 1 o72 switch, 13 o72 full curves, 3 30 in straight and 1 1/2 straight piece. You simply come off the switch with 2 - curves section then 1 - 30 in straight then 11 - curve section then 1 - 1/2 straight then 2 - 30 in straight. This makes the total lenght 10 foot long, down from 12 foot. A cost using these prices posted of $167.82 as compared to $192.25. Pricing from Train express is $138.55 for fastrack. Pricing O gauge tublar is $121.95. So fastrack is not that much more expensive.

You can also squeeze a reverse into 9 foot in fastrack if you use a o72 wye switch, 2 straights and 17 curves. o72 wye, straight, 2 curves right, 13 curves left, 2 curves right, straight. a Total cost of $128.15.

Have fun,
