Believe it or not, one of my favorite parts of this hobby is building the structures.
I’d like to see more post on what everyone’s favorite building or structure on their layout is. Doesn’t have to be special or fancy - just which building is your favorite.
Ah, come on Troy. This isn’t a contest. I’m just curious what buildings people like and what the’ve done.
Bruce,
I followed your building log on that other forum and my next building is gonna be stone. Not a mill though, there is this old bank in a small town near us that I’m going to use as the start for the prototype. My town can’t grow without a bank.
Vic,
Your tower keeps reminding me how much I need to replace my plastic kit with a wooden coaling tower. Really pretty.
I would really love to send in a picture saying this is my favorite building, but I don’t have much of anything but a jumble of ideas running around at the moment. I will probably be in the lines of the favorite will be the last one completed. [(-D] Which I hope to be doing some building this winter, so maybe by spring there will be something.
I’d love to bring this topic back to life. I am one of those people who love making buildings for my garden. My favorite medium is wood but I’m always on the lookout for new ideas. Any updates from you guys? Any new buildings on your line?
Jennifer
Sigh[sigh], I have a ton of building ideas, but so far little has come to life. Every time I get started something else (real world) comes up. Maybe this winter I can sqeeze out a building or two from the materials I have stockpiled.
I would love to see more on building i made one and my doctor ask me for it so now it’s on his layout maybe we could get gr to add some to future mags jmozz
Hi All
Well It won’t let me quote Error Error’s message.
But I don’t think it matters if your favorite structure is a massive edifice
like the ones shown or a humble garden shed…
My favorite until it got knocked over and destroyed 10 minutes before completion
was a very simple waiting shelter for passengers.
it will be rebuilt with a stronger frame in it.
It is still nice to see what others are building regardless of how big or small
how well or not so well made they are.
Only those with a PPP attitude will give undue criticism all others will try to help if there is an aspect of the building you are not sure of or don’t like
