Favorite Diesel Locomotive to Model?

Of all the diesel locomotive models ever produced in real world railroading, which would be your favorite model to run on your home layout (even if it hasn’t yet been produced in your scale)?

Boxcab diesel MDC makes in HO, wi***hey had one in S.

An SDL39, I wi***here was an inexpensive plastic model out there.

I would like to see a C430 model come out and if not that then a better done C420.

Geep 38s and 38-2s. Have seven of 'em.[:p]

I like odd ball stuff like beeps and CF7s. I got a pic on my website of a MKT rs3 cab and short hood on a gp7 hood unit. I have an old rs3 and a gp7, been thinking on bashin’ one together.

F-units and GP-7’s. I model the late 40’s and early 50’s and am very fortunate to have good models available to choose from.

I AM HAPPY TO FIND OUT THAT THERE ARE OTHER MODLERS WHO HAVE A
HEART LOVE FOR THE GP-7-9s AND 38 and 38-2s. I AM 69 YEARS OLD AND HAVE
RETURNED TO MODEL “HO” HOBBY AFTER AN ABSENSE OF ABOUT 30 YEARS.
MY MODEL ERA COVERS A SPAN FROM THE 1920S to presesnt. I AM IN THE
PROCESS OF BUILDING A 16 X 24 HO LAYOUT. I “RUN” ABOUT 12 DIFFERENT
RAIL LINES ON MY LAYOUT. THIS IS TRULY AN ENJOYABLE HOBBY…TJB1033

I would like models of full body locos that CN used such as SD50F, SD60F, Dash8-40 and a model of C44-9 with the correct nose for CN; Athearn and Kato don’t have the wright cab

GP38’s and GP38-2, I have 10 of them and the GP20, I have 6 of them
Bee Line

Not a diesel,
but I would love to see the new Bombardier turbine locomotive produced. It looks enough like an accella that it might be fun to run a trainset with an accella like consist in fantasy colors or Amtrack. without having to build an entire catenary infrastructure.

I’d love to see an Alco C-415 in Ho, if Kato or the people at LLP2K would do one, it is such an ugly duckling, I would buy several.

SD40-2’s

CP has lots of different paint schemes for these.

SD 45’s

Comes in many variations: Long nose, tunnel motors, passenger, etc. Used by many lines where I grew up.

Just about any SLUG…
Atlas Nscale C628 and miscellaneous parts already on order for a SP1001 bash…

GP60s and GP59s, very cool locomotives to model! But I do wi***hat there was a M420W and GP39 High Cab in HO scale.

I mostly model the EMD’s GP-38,dash 2 very fond of the 2nd generation diesel 4 axel motive power still get to see then on the roads today.

I have a hard time deciding berween my 3 favorites:

GP-30
BL-2
Train-Master

Sign me up with the Geep fans–I own two, an SP “bloody nose” GP9 I got from my father, and a WP “Zephyr” schemed GP7 based on a prototype that was later sold to Sacramento Northern, the line I model, but was still owned by WP during the era I model.

Grew up watching Geeps putter around Sacramento and Roseville and have a big, big fondness for them. Part of me really wants an HO narrow-gauge Porter, and am generally fond of small diesels–the Geep is about the biggest engine I like!
