PRR has long been a favorite with me, but I like the others also. The GG1 and the K4 are my favorite engines.
Enjoy

Of course you meant favorite EASTERN fallen flags. For me that would be the LV. But nation wide, I’d have to say Northern Pacific.
Pennsy!
Think Horseshoe Curve
Think Broadway Limited
Think “Standard Railroad Of The World”
Think of my great-grandfather who came west to Ohio from Pittsburgh to work for PRR
But I do miss all the others that touched my corner of the world
Has to be the ESPEE.
The New York Central, Great Steel Boulevard, Water Level Route or whatever you want to call the nation’s greatest trunk line.
No question about it .
#1 The FRISCO, the SL-SF
#2 The Dixie Line, the NC&StL
#3 The Old Relible, the L&N
#4 The Main LIne of Mid America, the ICRR
Go Great Northern!!![:D]
what about the MKT katy lines the D&RGW rio grande road
MILW Milwuakee road T&P & NYC
they were some good roads
Oh, this one again?!
My stock answer to this question the first two hundred times it’s been asked on this forum already is:
“My signature line should give you a clue.” [|(]
SP
Could not believe the GM&O was not included in this poll. So its no surprise what my choice is.The road has a very rich history, and was one of the first to dieselize.Look at their new geeps when they first got them, their riding on traded in Alco trucks.Very frugal money management.
Running an old tired F3 with manual transition with my uncle as a kid was a thrill I will never forget.
GM&O wings forever!!!
I had a tough time choosing between NKP and C&O. Had to go with NKP,as it was my
first exposure to RR’s. Sure do miss BN and Conrail ![^]
The Western Maryland or “Wild Mary”. Nothing like a coal drag climbing out of Elkins with three Consolidations on the headend, two in the middle and three pushing. Except for fast freights climbing from***berland to Frostburg with a Potomac and Challenger on the headend and a Decapod pushing. Now that’s big steam.,
SOUTHERN SERVES THE SOUTH
In my case it’s a tie between SP and DRGW.
C&NW!!
Where’s SOUTHERN PACIFIC!!??
SP for me as well
I spent 32 yrs railroading, 6 yrs as a yard clerk,4 as a Control Opr, 8 yrs as a Dispatcher on the CNW, 6 yrs on the Soo ,Dispatching the River Subdivn,2 yrs on the SP in Denver,6 yrs on the UP in Omaha, and Spring Tx dispatching the Lafeyette Subdivn. I retired 3 yrs ago at 71. I miss those 3 “Fallen Flags” CNW, Soo SP.and I miss the “good rails” that
were my Friends… Teddy from Texas
The RR I first watched and became a railfan.
CONRAIL [:(] forever!!!
