I chose gp38-2
OF the new ones listed, the SD40-2 wins hands down - it’s Americas loco, sorta like Mom, Apple pie, and the Braves ! At 3,947 sold, the real railroads thought so, too - and they are still going strong !!
Of the old ones not listed, you can’t beat an E6A in RI Rocket scheme !!!
WHY no Alco PA-1?
My favorite is small steam 4-4-0, 4-6-0, 2-6-0, 2-8-0, etc.

Gag, that is all modern and post modern utilitarian looking ugly stuff. In that context it would have to be the most cost efficient for the railroad to use - AC4400CW?
