I like EMD.
Hey EMD Rules!!! I used to like GE as my favorit now GE is my second favorit. Sorry. . . . GE I saw the light when I saw my first SD40-2 rumble down the Northeast Corridor. However, I hate Alco. Their steams were awsome!!! But their diesels needed some serious help. Favorit Steam manufactuer is Lima- Hamilton Corp
EMD.
I’ll choose ALCO any day.
- ALCO
- GE
- EMD
My favorite engines are mostly EMD’s but overall I like ALCO and GE more.
EMD any day!
EEEEEEMMMMMMDDDDDD , EMD . BY FAR
EMD personally. My favorite railroad, the WSOR, is strictly a EMD railroad, so that’s why.

I see alot of GE test engines running down the BNSF tracks are BNSF thinking for getting a load of GE engines or what?
1.ALCo especially their S series switchers, and RS1s.
2.Baldwin switchers& road switchers.
3.Fairbanks Morse Trainmasters in SP commute service.
4.EMD.
666.[}:)] GE.[:(!]
The 2-cycle EMD’s just sound ‘right’.
All the 4-cycle diesels sound ‘wrong’.
I definitely voted for Alco, especially for all three of its carbody designs: FA, PA & DL500. It also has better looking export locomotives, which are still in production in India under license (the WDM2).
“GE–They bring good trains to liiiiiiife!” (Did I do that out loud?)
