The Big Boys
I voted “other.” But MY definition of other is UP’s 4-12-2.
I voted other my favotite wheel arrangement was the simple 4-8-4 many railroads had them and they were all distinctive to the owning road. No other class of engine pulled as many fast freight and passenger trains.
Chicago & Northwestern H-1 class 4-8-4.
Chicago & Northwestern E-4 class 4-6-4.
are my favorite.
