Favourite photo of my layout

I’ve had my layout since 1997, and of all the pictures I’ve taken of it this is my all-time favourite. The locomotive (a modified Athearn SW7) and the wooden box car (Accurail) are gone but I still have the weathered steel box car (Athearn BB). If you have a favourite photo of your layout feel free to add to this thread.

Here’s mine… Very nice picture, by the way

The photo is very nice, the fall colors especially bring out the photo. What kind of loco is that? Ive never seen something like that.

I’ve since torn up this alyout, but my all-time favorite pic from it would be this:

Thanks!

The loco is a modified GE-70 ton Loco. Here’s a pic of the orginal, before the modifications and paint job. I added some fans and stuff to its roof since then.

Nice rebuilt GE 70 tonner! It looks like an older loco that the shop worked on!

Here’s mine. The GP9m is a custom painted and detailed Walthers Trainline model, and the Chessie System U23B is an Atlas model. The crossing lights are Walthers Cornerstone.

Nice shots, all. This is one of my favs.

here’s my favorite:

and my other favorite

As usual, good shots.

Here is one of my shots. I know, the plant still needs a sign on it [:-^].

Nice photos!!! This is one of my favs from my N scale layout…

I have been working on these two secnes for 6 months now. Finally finished. It’s just a small portion of the layout. I still run a SD90MAC through them though. The sawmill was the hardest. If you look you can se some of the kitbashing was from a FSM kit.

Grampys, I do not know which is better, the photo or the modeling?

Here are a few shoots of my new section. NYC Hudson (BLI) heading west while a Y6-b (PCM) is waiting to start it coal drag from K-10 Mine.

Mono Heavy Mike (BLI)

Not a great picture, but shows the cliffs, for now they are 13 inches tall. Heavy Mike dragging one of those new fan gel engines back to the round house.

Cuda Ken

Nice shots, Ken. What did you use to make those trees?

Jim

I’ve got many, but this is a favorite… N Scale

That is a cool picture! How did you capture the coal in motion coming out of the shute? (Or is that a “trade secret?”) [(-D][swg]

My newest addition to my HO layout is this North Hollywood depot by Showcase Miniatuers.

Well, you have to get up pretty early in the morning to catch those guys at work…[:D]

Actually, I took a bit of poly fiber, combed it out, sprayed it flat black, and rolled it in some coal grit. When it dried, I pulled it into a cone shape, then set in place between the tipple and the hopper. A little bit of dramatic lighting helps distract the eye from any apparent flaws… Thanks for the compliment.

Lee

Great photos, everyone.

I’d say of mine, I’m pretty fond of this one:

Always enjoy seeing the progress that others make. Some really great shots. Here’s one from the club…
