According to NPR news Micheal Bloomburg and the FBI have announced finding a specific threat to the NYC subway system. They claim there will be further increased security in responce.
Good luck to everyone there. I hope this doesnt’ turn serious. I lived there though September 11 and the anthrax thing so I know how nerve wracking these threats get. Good luck NY.
I assume you mean “threat”. I haven’t heard anything about it, but it sure is possible. Thanks for the warning, since I live in the area and go to NYC a lot. I am sure if its true they will use it as a reason to get even more jittery about all railroads around here, hard enough to be a railfan as it is in these parts.

Let me assure that I will ride a train, plane, bus or car anytime I need to go somewhere and I am not going to be deterred unless someone of authority tells me to stop or I actually see somebody with a weapon or IED with obvious intent to cause mahem.
By the way, Michael Bloomberg, the mayor, says that the threat will not interrupt his routine. He rides the subway to and from work every day, and it’s no put on. In the '70s when he was my manager at an investment bank, we lived in the same neighborhood and I occasionally rode with him, even though he could have ridden a limo every day.
The President claims they have secretly stopped around 10 attacks like this. I’d like to hear about those incidents… Not that I’m saying it isn’t true. I’d just be interested to hear what the story was.
I guess it depends on the definitions…but take this for what it’s worth…many times to do so would expose sources or methods, and not something you want to do if they are still viable.
a bunch of attacks, but they can’t talk about them. Because everytime they do, it helps the Terrorists figure another way to get around us. Really hurts Bu***hat he can’t talk about it, but it is better to be secure. He also said that by no means does that mean that we are safe from an attack.

It was not ment to be a joke but I guess you can only threaten (or treaten) people so many times before they stop paying attention and it just becomes noise.
