I know , you get tired of hearing this BUT,
I really enjoied Pat Haywards “Great railway gardens” nice to see a new angle.
My first thought was , (Great Garden railways) haaa, not yet.[:(]
The whole issue seemed to be alittle different, more colorful items and shots with lots of European things.
And not tring to be a pain, just sharing my view.
page 9 should have been a outdoor model RRing shot. That shot needs to be in TRAINS mag. I 'm sure the company knows someone in the hobby.
Of course I’m reading it on New Years eve while keep 4 ,16ish year old boys from killing each other while my better half works. These sleep overs are hard on us old men.
Tomorrow their helping to split firewood ,[:p][:p][}:)][:I]
Sandy, sometimes its faster than others.
The guy on page 59 has some very nicly done “rust” on his 100 ton hoppers. I’d sure like to find out how he does it.???
Sounds like a short artical time.
Colin
I used some wire that was a little too thick and sodiered round tips on it.
I have not found a lighter gauge that is not to small. then glued it in place.
I also leveled the coupler better after seeing the photo.[:I]
Thanks Marty. I saw Tom Weaver the other day, and he says hi. My mom saw the picture earlier today, even though I got it a while back, and she loves the picture. Thanks for the information, I think I will put the “MU” hoses on both sides of my RS3. Are you coming to ECLSTS, I know I will be there for all three days, I hope.
Got mine early thid year, but its got water damage as it was raining pretty heavily when it was delivered. I’m sure i can get the wrinkling along the bottom fixed by pressing it. if i had known they were planning a “small space” issue i would have sent some shots of my tiny outdoor layout, at 5’x9’ you cant get much smaller than that! Oh Well theres always next year.
Happy New Year! And may it bring better planning[}:)][}:)]. You should have put the boys to work on splitting wood before the sleep-over. Would have been a reasonably quiet house. [;)][;)][:D][:D][8D][8D]
Usually my copy of GR comes much later than TRAINS but it arrived mid-week and TRAINS came Saturday. Maybe Sandy Claws had something to do with it.
I, too, sensed something ‘different’, maybe even better, about it.

Capt.Bob, Texas doesn’t seem to be teeming with rail modelers like the East does, especially New Jersey; not sure about Delaware. But as long as the pages don’t get dog eared or smeared with ketchup, I wouldn’t mind if it converts someone to any type of rail modeling or fanning!
