Hi [your name here]. I have good news for you, FEC is very railfan friendly as long as you follow the rules. I encourage you to join the FECRailway Yahoo! Group to post any further questions you may have concerning the FEC including train numbers, schedules and the best spots to railfan from. A lot of great guys, several of which are actual FEC trainmen who are always happy to help out railfans like you and me.

Orlando huh? In case you didn’t know, you’ll have to drive about 35 miles east to get to the FEC at Titusville. From there you can travel US-1 north or south which the FEC parallels.
Hope this helps, feel free to pm me anytime.
In 1998 I spent almost an entire day alongside the FEC main outside of Jacksonville. I was parked in a residential area about 10 ft. from the tracks and nobody bothered me, from the railroad, police, neighbors, etc. I saw nothing in the morning, went to lunch, came back and that afternoon saw and photographed 6 FEC trains. I also visited one of their yards in the area, and, while I did technically enter the property, I was well-off to the side and not real close to any tracks and they didn’t seem to mind. The employees I spoke with were real friendly.
