How long do you propose it take to regrow them? LOL
Trees are there for a purpose-(thinking) they filter out air pollutants…provide oxygen…missing anything else?

I have at least one woodpecker attacking my house. I go out and throw rocks at it.
If it doesn’t go away I’m a gonna’ buy an air gun.
I’m a “No” vote on the whole woodpecker thing.
Greyhounds - as some one wisely counseled on another post: If you have a woodpecker, you best investigate. He is trying to tell you something: Got Bugs?

Termite and ant larve moving around the woodwork of a house could attract a Woodpecker.
If the house is mostly fiberboard and vinyl then the woodpecker might be calling for a mate or defending its territory by making loud reports.
The only birds I have seen walking across the railroad tracks were the 8 to 12 Bobwhites moving from one farm field to another by the CN (GTW) Pavilion siding.
Crows and Blackbirds will occasionally land on the tracks.
Woodpeckers have an easy time making it over the tracks by flying 10’ or more above the ground. Reptiles and amphibians are the species that find the railroad ballast and tracks to be impossible to cross. If the deer and opossum are too slow in crossing the tracks they will become a meal for the crows.

too big!!! still better without the bold. First time with the new font sizes? [?]
This lettering size and style closely matches of the CN and GTW signs.
It sets the tone and mood of the location.
Everybody needs to get outside in the afternoon to watch the freight trains and watch the birds when the freight trains are not around.

Hey guys, and ladies, please give Falconer a break on the font size.
He may have a vision problem. The larger type face may allow him to participate.
Dude, I wear contact lenses and the monitor is set back several feet for the keyboard, mouse, speakers, modem, and printer.
This default text setting is a bit too tight, too stuffy when compared to word processors.
It skews the concepts off base.
Get some suet feeders, put in some peanut suet, and wait for the woodpeckers to visit.
