Feds approve planning for Durham-Chapel Hill light rail

2 yrs for the EIP report.
3 yrs of engineering.
4 or 5 yrs of construction.
Un-F-ing-reasonable.
Were the Alaska (Al-Can) Highway,1000 miles instead of 17 miles, built similarly and started when it was, it might have been completed by the end of the Police Action in Korea…but likely in time for our retreat from Viet Nam…Mom Carlin’s three sons were issued Army dog tags then. No aspersions intended.

sicne both Duke and North Carlina State universities who are ncaa basketball traditoinal power houses the line should be called the baskeball line. if not the the more normal orange line since that is the color of basketballs

@Francis: I totally agree. However this is the environmental reality that we’ve created in this country. My brother and I tried for eight years to reopen a small historic hydroelectric plant that ran for over ninety years. Environmental regs finally forced us to pull the plug. So now we buy electricity from Canada. And we wonder why we have trouble competing with China :frowning:

Raleigh is omitted from the light rail plan.

Why is Raleigh ommitted from the plan?
