Feeder lines soldering redundant?

One pic is the 12v connection example and the other is wiring under the railroad left out (not tied down) for an open house. The white spring connectors are for detection wiring back to LCC boards. You will see T-Taps in this pic, but I have abandoned their use in favor of daisy-chaining the bus wires with Wago connectors.

If the click-clack noise comes from kinks in your trackwork, then that could be a problem, especially in curves where derailments can occur. If you really find the noise annoying, you can always revert to plastic wheels, that are much quieter. That’s what Doctor Wayne did for his layout. But some argue that these can get the track dirty…

I do automotive and have never been a huge fans of T taps. I mostly take them out from alarm modules and usually the wire paths are a rats nest anyway so good riddance. Nice work the wago’s looks tight. Good jobs thanks for the pic and tips.G.
