Ferromex units on the BNSF

I have seen them on various trains on csx.the best one was q 381 which normally usues bnsf power but it had 2 ferromex engines for power.

I’ve seen Ferromex engines and rolling stock quite frequently down here on the Union Pacific Sunset Route. Ferromex runs GE locomotive made in Erie, Pennsylvania, so some of them are new unis being delivered to Ferromex through the Nogales, Arizona/Mexico border crossing, and others are on pool power and run-through agreements.

The rolling stock is usually boxcars, gondolas, and auto racks enroute to or coming from Nogales. Quite a few Ferrocarilles Nacionales de Mexico rolling stock items, too, but these are usually extremely weatherbeaten boxcars or gons…

Just saw one go by here (Needles) as I was reading this thread. Saw one yesterday too. Not all that unusual though, I see a few every time I’m here.

I have not seen the interior of one of these engs but I have heard the wordings on the control stand and circut breaker panel is written in spanish. Call it global railroading.
