finally ive opened my xmas gifts!!!!

Well i FINALLY got my two 0-6-0 tank switchers by mantua[:D]

and i am in the process of modifying 1 into a cab forward unit, with supplies provided by www.yardbirdtrains.com using the guide provided at www.2guysandsumtrains.com web site. Although the person that started the thread there is a master modeller i am just a beginner, having graduated from athearn bb locos, and bowser steamers maybe later i’ll post some pics of the finished model, because right now i have a lot of sanding and detailing to do on my model and also painting, so wish me some luck[:)]also i noticed that its’ ddc ready to install with a can motor ( i think)

also my question for detailing them for a smallish mine is what sort of tender would they use?

Many tank engines had their own attached tenders…bins at the rear of the cab. They already carry their spare water draped over the boiler, or in tanks aside the boiler, so all they need is some tens of cubic feet of fuel.

I am unaware of tender-towing tank engines, but that is my limitation, or lack of knowledge, I am sure to find. The regular USRA 0-6-0 switchers pulled regular tenders, while some of the roads had sloped back tenders. I believe the Pennsy had some of the sloped back tenders.
