Finding a source for Hydrocal

Used to be able to find in bulk (50lbs. plus) at a building products place now closed for several years. Need a source in Eastern PA. Any ideas?

Tommy Gilberts hobby shop in Gettysburg stocks 50 lb. bags. Call them at 717-337-1992 or E-mail at tghbyshp@cvn.net. If Gettysburg is too far for you to drive, they may send you some.

Send an e-mail to: usg4you@usg.com and request the name and location of the dealer/distributor nearest you.

Also check with a ceramic supply place. They sometimes have it and use it to make ceramic molds…Vic

Also, you can ask for UltraCal 30. It is a different manufacturer and is slightly gray in color. I prefered it when I was using hardshell.

I prefer it for the gray color. If scenery gets chipped, you don’t have white starring at you. It mixes and sets up just like Hydrocal.

I got mine from a commercial builders supply house.
