Finding the right paint color.

First off, does Testors make a Spray paint thats very close to or the same as Floquil Caboose Red?

Also, I’m looking for a yellow close to this

WHICH ‘CORRECT’ paint color?

a.Fresh out of the shops? b.Sun faded? c. weathered, or d.road grime?

REFLECTED LIGHT: e.Noon daylight - full sun? f.Cloudy bright/ overcast? g. late afternoon / side lighted? h.shade?

When you go down to the freight yard as I did, hold up the model under the same light. You will find few cars the same color. Armour Yellow fades toward white the longer it sits in the sun. I’d try a mix of Armour yellow & white

You want an overly simple answer to a complex problem.

OK, try a can of Foquil Armour Yellow. It should dry to a typical outdoor non-sheen, unless you want to apply decals.

Yep… That paint scheme looks like it’s inspired by the Borg paint scheme. In which case it should be easy to do-- UP Armor Yellow and UP Harbor Mist Grey.

It doesn’t appear anybody offers Armour Yellow and Harbour mist gray in spray paint[:(]

Scalecoat makes both colors in spray cans.
