I just received this link to an Australian website featuring outstanding modeling–mainly but not exclusively model railroading–from around the world. For me, both aspirational and inspirational:
The modelling photos that Mario has compiled on his site is a real who-is-who of scratch-building and craftsman structure modelling. If you ever get to the National Narrow Gauge conventions then you might have seen some of these models? The Sundance Central is incredible to see in person. It is huge, the detail is amazing. You can look at it for hours and find neat things to look at and discover. The quality of the weathering is superb. There is so much depth to the scenes.
Here are 3 shots I took when the layout was in St. Louis for the 2010 Narrow Gauge meet.
It is great that this layout has found a permanent home.
Thanks for a great link and some wonderful photos. I’ve saved most of the photos for future modeling reference and have found many ideas that will fit very well into my layout.
