Anyone out there model this neat little short line???[?]
I’ve done two models of the chop nosed GP9s in the 1700 class but sold them both. Currently I have a GE B23-7 that I gave to my grandson, but resides at our house, that I did up in a modified cigar band scheme. That was before FGLK decided on staying with the Lightning Stripe scheme. The grandson loves it the way it is, so I’m not about to change it. I have also lettered an SW-1 switcher for the Finger Lakes, using it for a late 50s theme that I’ve been toying with.
I’ve just recently torn up my previous layout and will be redesigning it but will stay with a general theme of the Finger Lakes region of New York. I have too many projects going at once, as usual. I’m pretty much a “Proto-feelancer” type modeler so it’s hard to say at this point how the new layout will turn out.

Ya, this is a facinating little short line with a lot of class. I’m about to do two “what ifs” in Finger Lakes. Get this, a duo of U18’s on the front of an ore train from this region. The convertions are from the recent article in MR, Lightning Stripes and all.[:D][:D]
For information try Fallen Flags web site. Alot of information on almost all of the railroads out there. good luck…

Sometimes there isn’t much on some of the smaller railroads.

This is not quite on target, but some years ago Muir Models, Inc. had a decent kit for the Bath and Hammondsport station on Keuka Lake built in 1880. Possibly you might find this kit at swap meets or Ebay. No, I’m not willing to part with mine.
I am in process of getting together the necessary roling stock for FGLK. I have all the engines and am about to paint . I have done satelitte photo studies of the route and have started to layout the track plan that will someday become the FGLK route in miniture. I think that I will either take a lot of liberties or blow out the back of the garage. Since I am in Florida it is very difficult to obtain up to date info on the line. I would appreciate any help and advice on that front.
Nice to hear that someone else hear in Fla is a fan of the FGLK. I have some of the articles published in trains magazine, but thats about all. There really hasn’t been much written about our little short line in probably 2-3 years, wish MR would do some investigating and maybe scronge up something of interest.
Good Morning Gentleman,I am from Elmira N.Y. but have lived in Omaha,Neb,for 43 years.Any info about its trackage and route would be of interest.I did look at Fallen Flags abd thier equipment looks like NYC Lighting Stripe.Thanks for any info you can supply.
