finnally it arrived

well my 4-4-0 by bachmann finally arrived, i bought it from thefavoritespot an ebay dealer.

the motor is in the tender an has pickups on all 4 axels, but i noticed something shouldn’t the aisolated wheels be on 1 side of the tender? aka the left side because the front axels on the tender are opposite to the rear truck/axels.

also would it be a good idea to aditionally put in more pick ups on the rear wheels of the locomotive?

Here’s an article on adding pick ups to the tender. Hurry up and download it. This site is shutting down.

You tender is set up properly. One tender truck for one rail. The other truck for the other rail. They tend to stall on dead frogs a lot. I can’t remember if mine even has any pickups in the loco itself, or if that wire is just for the light??

SteamFreak wired up the front wheels on the pilot for electrical pick up. You might want to talk to him about that.

I have an earlier edition of the Bachmann 4-4-0 (DCC but no sound) and have had no problems running this locomotive on Peco track and turnouts. Mine is wired in the same manner as your unit. [If you have received one of the new Bachmann Americans…I am truly jealous!] I have been waiting for my preordered loco from Micro Mark for almost 5 months. This is a good running engine (after break-in) and can be detailed/weathered into a fine representation of a late 19th/early 20th century example. My only wish is that the various large kit manufacturers would produce some (OK…any) 19th century rolling stock.

CNE Runner -The Favorite Spot on E-Bay has had those new Bach 4-4-0’s in stock for a few months now. You might want to call Micro Mark and see what’s up.
I see Favorite Spot has closed down for a vacation. They say they’ll reopen in mid Aug.

thank u for the tip, fortunately when i saw the post on the closing down i automatically went and checked the articles that they had and downloaded the ones that interested me the most soon i’ll try it out and see how it does[:D][8D]

Looks like a school teacher’s schedule.

They show a picture of their brick n mortar store front in their ad.[%-)] I would guess it’s a full time gig.

Maybe the owner has kids of school age or a spouse is a teacher. Then again, maybe the store front in thier photo is a really good model? It’s not a bad thing, just something to keep in mind as teachers do have more days off than most other professions and there might be nobody there on some of the less popular holidays during the year, to answer customer calls.
