A friend told me that a Life-Like warehouse in Baltimore, MD burned down yesterday. The only online article I found about it said the warehouse was full of ‘polystyrene coolers’ (?!). Here is the link:

Does anybody have any more accurate info about this?

It’s the same Life Like company that makes the foam coolers and model railroad items. The models are a small part of the overall business. This has been reported on the newsgroup rec.models.railroad.
No model railroad stuff involved in the fire, they have another warehouse.

Thank god. I would just faint if the model railroad stuff burned up. Especially that I have a limited run loco on order.
