I don’t know if anyone else has the issue but I just upgraded to Firefox 4.0. Most sites are very fast but this one seems much slower than when running the last version.
I upgraded to Fox 4 also and noticed sometimes it’s quicker and sometime it’s not.

Right now it seems everything is slow on this site…
I’m also running internet explorer side by side and the explorer is much faster. I had switched to the last version of firefox because it was much faster than explorer on this site.
I’m noticing no difference. Both Firefox and IE are running slow here.
Our hosts at MR are aware of this and working on it. Now I’ll be able to drink the rest of my coffee as I wait to return to the Forum!!
Same here but Kiwi-Strawberry soda in my case.
It is interesting…at least it does not end in OOPS pages…
I run IE8 and as a young kid many years ago I had a pet snail whom could whip the pants off this site as for speed.
Oh well I wanted more time on the layout anyway.
Right now everything on this site slows down. Our MR representative, Kawala informed us they are working on the trouble in a sticky post that seems to have diappeared…
I either could not get on last night or could not load pages and could not post either. Night time {6pm EDT} is the worst. This AM at 6-6:30 EDT I still had trouble. Now at nearly ( am EDT it seems better.
I use IE and AOL as my computer connections on high speed cable.
So I’m sure it has nothing to do with your browser and everything to do with this site.
I upgraded to Firefox 4 and see no difference. East Coast evening hours seem to be the slowest which is probably when the largest number of users log in. Kalmbach probably needs to upgrade their servers or their internet connections - sometimes success overwhelms you. As noted they are looking into the problem.

I respectfully disagree. I installed Firefox 4 on my Windows 7 laptop and it went from acceptable speed (Firefox 3.6.whatever) to warp speed with Firefox 4.0. I had to put my seatbelt on and lower the face shield to keep the bugs out of my teeth… 
I very much liked the improvements with Firefox 4.0. I just can’t wait until the add-on developers catch up so I can upgrade to it on my other systems.
With Firefox 4, me be a happy camper!

You know, there is some serious irony in here somewhere… I mean, here’s a bunch of model railroaders who spend countless hours tweaking and tuning their engines to sail along at speeds that can only be measured in nanometers per decade… complaining about the speed of the model railroading site…
Don’t you all know that everything is fine??? It’s just that you’re supposed to be using a 1:6 fast clock when you access the site! [:-,]

Today speed is back to normal. Go figure. The forums must have decided to dive in speed while I was upgrading the firefox.

Definitely not Firefox. This site is slow, no dog slow, with every brand of browser that I use.
