A fine job, fine job indeed!
Got any more. How about a track plan?
Chris,
Awesome. What is the make and color of your ballast?
Greg
excellent work !
nice to see canadian prototype layouts (even though i don’t model 'em myself)
Thanks everyone! I’m away from home on business, but when I get back I’ll post the track plan and some more recent pics. I already have ideas on how to expand it (need your advice) Will post ideas. Maybe I should have started bigger than 4x8?? Living in Alberta, all I grew up seeing where dirty old CN & CP trains, so it only seem fitting to model one, besides, everone seems to model US layouts(no offence there great!). I think the ballest is Woodland Scenics medium buff, if that makes sence??
Great Hobby!!
Chris

Now that is some nice work, I am still the PLYWOOD central!! I thought your ground detail was very good along with color selection for the scenery.
Very nice Chris. Keep the picts coming, great inspiration for those of us still developing. But I agree, “Havin fun, learning lots and lovin it!” Great job! John
i am going to be following your progress. i am origonally from toronto,
i lived on the edge of an industrial area and grew up watching trains. [:)]
i have been doing some research and planning to do my layout based on some ideas from around there
and other locations in canada.
your layout and choice of trains is going to give me some ideas too i am sure. [:D]
I’m all for progress - I’m weeks away from a total demolition of my benchwork (what there is of it) and starting fresh. Can you guess I love my Canadian Roads also.
for a first attempt that is awesome
Looks Awesome. Look forward to more Pics and the expansion. Its amazing how much fun this hobby is and when one finishes, they decide its time to expand, either to a side or up or down.
BTW, I believe you are correct WS Medium Buff. WE have some and we too think it looks great. Nice to have a contrast in areas from the normal grey.
