First time casting. Made the mound with news paper, then a layer of plaster tape, and celluclay. Then came the rocks. This is all new to me and the more it came together the more I added, I added another rock on the other side, now came the painting and staining and that was different, then I decided to add ground cover then more and more. Now that I’m done. I named it “A man’s castile can be anywhere” So what I’m looking for is opinions about the rocks, and maybe the whole thing in general, Pos or Neg. thanks for any feedback.
Looks very good. I would like to see each step broken down with photos since I have never attempted to do this and I could use additional instruction. Additional pictures would sure help me.
Hello. I used products from Woodland Scenics, since it was the first time I went to one place to get it all, after being on this site for awhile, I’ve learned about cheaper ways. I used Lightweight Hydrocal. There Earth color kit and just fallowed the directions in there Scenery Manual. This book has a lot of good information.
When I started staining, it went quicker and easier than I thought it would. So there’s no progress pictures. The whole staining thing took about 20 min. I just followed the book .
