Mr. McFadden, everything that you want to know, about Magnetation’s operation in Reynolds, IN, as it relates to car ownership, etc., can be found on the IndianaRailroads.org website in the attached thread. It makes for interesting reading.

Isn’t 101 thru 220 only 120 hoppers?

I agree with Mr. McFadden. On the surface, there seems to be a discrepancy somewhere.

Mr. Callahan, I used your link and found tons more info than I wanted to sort through. Do you (or anyone else) have the answer to Mr. McFadden’s question?

Good news about additional shipments being added to railroad statistics!! A picture of an ore Jenny would have been nice to study.

Will CSX be moving these trains thru Lafayette & if so when?

For what its worth UMLER has issued reporting marks through 880 all for 70T Gondolas. The only one’s showing in steel roads as moving are 101-220. Some (or all) of the rest are still under construction. I suspect that a plant of this size will need a bunch of train sets to keep it going.

Yes, Mr. McFadden, I caught that right away too–either it’s 120 hoppers or it’s 1-220 or 101-320.

Good news for what is left of the Monon
