Are you trying to say this is an actual weathering attempt, or are you showing what can go wrong when you use Crazy Glue to build a model.[%-)]
Mike,
Curious, why did you use CA (crazy glue)? Did you see a prototype photo where a tank car had this type of effect?
I did see one somewhere, and I had noticed that CA dried with a white film around it, so hey, I went at it ![]()
No, it was on purpose lol [:D]
OK,
Sort of reminds me of tank cars and trucks that I’ve seen carrying chemicals that appeared to be thick tar or asphalt type material. The stuff was gooped around the hatch areas. Your model has the appearance of an extreme case.
Keep working with it. Considering adding wash coats of rust and grime to the lower body, side platforms, ends, and the trucks. Apply dull coat or flat clear afterwards. Will look much more realistic. [;)]
You could always change the Burlington logo to an Elmers Glue logo.[:D]
better than mine?
Ewh!

yay!

2nd ones great! think I’ll pass on the 1st one though ![]()
I’ve yet to see a car that bad in interchange service.
If that much product was spilled along the top of the tank like that, someone would have a very long day filled with scrubbing it off. Around the hatches? Sure. That much? No way.
I’m really unsure of what you were trying to accomplish with this. Perhaps you may want to take a look at ‘ModelTrainsWeathered’ .
It could be used as an unused car on a holding track, seperated from others, idk, but I know I wont be using it in consists so thats out of the question.
Yep thats how it went down… [;)]
You could have people from the EPA inspecting that and maybe a hazmat team cleaning it up!!
