fish tank weathering

Hello there was a thread a while back on weathering .And someone said they put some cars in a fish tank. Someone else said they were going to try it does any one know how they turnout. I am not going to try it. I was just curious on how they did in there. Thanks Frank

That’s a great idea…

If you want to kill your fish!

Why not just put them in a glass of salt water?

Its a joke. Even if they did do it, its not going to give you professional results.

No but it sure works on your newest choo choos drilline…

Weathering involve the layering of appropriate materials. I don’t believe the muck that collects on the car after submersion will be practical. Sorry.

My guess would be there would be more practical ways to weather your equipment, but it would make interesting scenery for the fish tank.

Aggro - do you mean fish poop [?] [:-,][(-D]

Hello I think they did it to discolor the car or the lettering not sure. Someone posted a pic of 3-4 red flat cars in there tank. And if it work would they smell like fish as they go bye. Have a good weekend Frank

So do the fish use a little sprayer that they can hook up to the aquarium air pump? Or do they just fly at it with little paint brushes taped to their fins?

Brent

Maybe they meant that they used an empty fish tank as a spray booth ( ? ) [%-)]

I hate to think what would happen if said person put a complete locomotive into a fish tank that contained water and fish. The oil and grease would kill the fish, and water would probably destroy the motor.

Hello I found the thread it was called ‘‘easy but long way to weather car’’. It was started by bnsfkline. and trx450r racer posted the photo with 5 red double stacks in his tank. I don’t now how to link the thread but that was it. So trx450r racer how did they turn out ?

It is a joke. no more, no less.
