Fisher Price buildings

I have picked up a couple of the Fisher Price type buildings for parts ( doors and windows) and some I may be able to use the whole thing. Have any of you come up with a unique way to kitbash and make some of these look good on a layout with some modifications and paint?

I have used these as is. Great prices at yard sales!! ANd you get figures also and accessories.

Not sure what Fisher Price buildings you mean…Little People? They are likely too small for most G scale trains. I remember playing with the airport, castle, Sesame Street, preschool, farm, etc…

I used to play with Fisher Price Husky Helpers and my G scale trains. I had loads of fun bringing in the firemen, paramedics, and police after a derailment. Some of them had hands that actually would hold onto LGB gondolas.

I’d use them on a Whimsical setting only…Myself…to toy looking for my liking…

A few years ago, we featured a railroad that used kids’ type buildings (Barbie houses, etc.) on it. The owners basically used the two halves as separate backdrop buildings, adding a coat of paint to UV-proof them. They looked toy-like, of course, but they served their purpose as filler buildings.

I wish I could remember something more about the article to point you in the direction of it, but I can only see the picture in my head.
