fix votage to 1122 lionel switches

Hi GUY [:)]
A articile in classic toy trains . Explained how to wire the switchs with fix voltage . I found a easy way to do it with out taking . anything apart . just remove the steel pins from the center rail install fiber pins and soider a hot supply wire to the center rail . it work for me and can be swiched by the train also . hope this help some one [:D] by model a

Two problems with that:

Unless you’re already running flat out, trains will speed up and car lights will brighten as you cross the switch.

As you cross the gap onto and off the switch, you will cause the fault current that I have often warned about (possibly endangering electronicis-intensive locomotives) and risking a fire if the train stops over the gap, since the circuit breaker of a traditional Lionel transformer will not trip in this situation.

The only way I would consider this is with a switch or pushbutton momentarily to switch the center rail to accessory voltage for throwing the switch, then back to normal before a train goes through.

HI GUYS
I did some votage checking . most of my trains were bought un the year 1960 . I have only one new from this year . It takes about 10 volts for them to run nicely . The new engine is a small dock switcher take 4to 5 volts run at the same speed . you are right about speeding up on switch . some take short cuts . to do same thing is not the way Thankyou model a
