Hello again.
Wanted to post some images from the workbench related to the Flatcar Load that is being made up of a First Gear 1/87 Bulldozer, a Intermountain TTX Flatcar and finished with Boxes from the latest Chooch runs that just came off the production line.
I bought some I beams and carefully cut them to a suitable length. At first my CA was out of action (Too old) then I tried plastic weld. No good. Finally I got the Walthers goo out. When I finished I had everything on the deck.
The worst part of this work turned out to be the smaller I beams “welded” onto the base beams against the tracks. One peice disappeared when it got away from the tweezers. My hammy hands shook as I tried to manuver it into place. (Gotta lay off the coffee LOL)
I plan to either leave the beams as they are and dullcote everything a little bit or attempt to paint or use Bradgon Mills weathering powder to dust things “JEST THIS MUCH” and not one speck more.
What do you think?
Well I got pictures and without further ado:
Crawler Load
Crawler Load One
Crawler Load Two
Oh by the way the Middle Picture showed the two pins that held the blade and arms to the tractor. They were quite strong. Dont worry, the Blade and arms will be used in a shop scene elsewhere as a sort of a machine shop floor work. But those pins… whew.
