Trainworld has 25 for $90 or 100 for $320, the cheapest I have found. I have read all the info on Code 83 being more prototypically correct but for a large layout the difference in price is considerable. Since I already had a lot of code 100 on my layout I decided to stay with it and spend the savings on structures and rolling stock I desired. To each his own and if you have the money in your budget, great. If not, we all need to learn to be satisfied with what we can afford and still enjoy the hobby as much as the next guy.
I was just on E-Bay looking for Code 100 for a yard area I am building and I found numerous vendors selling multi packs of flex track in various prices.
Wow! Quite a layout in a relatively small space. Am pleased that the article included a track plan–as the just adequate amount of photos alone did not reveal the complexity and diverse features of the layout.
Just the layout and accessories alone are intriguing. Thanks for sharing.
Why not have fun? I am a realism nut myself, but if you are going all out, then go all out. We all like to find scenes that make us chuckle. The most realistic lake scene can be brought to life with the inclusion of a couple of skinny dipping swimmers or a sea serpent. This article made me smile.
Unbelivable is all i can say. That is why this is the greatest hobby in the world. It lets you take your imagination to almost limitless places. Great work on the layout. Truley an impressive set. Thanks for sharing.
This is what the hobby is all about," free from the burdens "as the owner says. FUN FUN FUN, is what it supposed to be. Congrats on an excellent layout!!
