Picked up a tube of MAAS for $3.00 at WalMart
Or order a 50-gram tube of Flitz from Micro-Mark for $10.45. Costs more, but a heck of a lot safer than ebay, especially if you don’t have a Wal-Mart close by (yeah, like that’s reality.)

I tried the MAAS stuff … but now my N scale trains have absolutely no traction … not sure that this is such a good thing
I wondered about that and even up a grade.
I’m HO and my locos weigh in at 17 oz or more
so I’m not surprised about N.
While I’m on the subject, I applied it to a 1966 HO
switcher whose wheels were never cleaned in 37 years
All I can say is WOW!.
