Flood control (like New Orleans?)

I just finished typing out a reply to a question concerning Santa Fe color schemes. It was about 4 or 5 paragraphs long and, I thought, covered the the topic pretty well w/o going into exahaustive detail. When I tried to post it that pesky little “flood control” notice popped up informing me that I needed to wait longer to post. The only problem was that I haven’t been on the forum, much less tried to post anything, for a couple of days. I ran into this rather frequently on the old format and when I would wait the indicated 60 seconds (given my limited typing skills the time frame tended to be more like 2 or 3 minutes) and repost and then would be treated to TWO identical replies! This time, as in the future, I just said “to Hell with it”. As a result somebody in a foriegn country w/o easy access to US RR info is denied an asnwer to a question. Am I the only one that this happens to?

I’ve never had it happen

Two questions for you:

  1. Are you double clicking on the “post” button?

  2. After you receive this message, do you check to see if the entry is posted?

The problem I’ve had occasionally when trying to post is the page will seem to freeze up, then I’ll click the back key and try again. One of two things happens, I’ll get the message you received, or the entry will post twice.
