What’s this nonsense about “Flood”, and “time between posts”, and other garbage that keeps popping up when I respond to a thread? Anyone else getting this silly message that appears to have no bearing on the posting of one’s reply? It appears for me regularly, but has absolutely no effect on whether or not my reply actually appears in the forum.
Thankfully not. Usually that happens if you post 2 posts too quickly, say <1 min. apart.

I’ve had that happen but not lately.
I could see it happen if I edited my post and uploaded it within the one minute time limit, but it happens when I respond to a post, often taking a couple of minutes to compose it, and then when I post it, I get this blue rectangle saying it is denied for flood control reasons. I haven’t actually uploaded anything in many minutes. Yet, my post appears none-the-less, so the message is nothing more than an annoyance, and doesn’t really preclude my response.
Weird. At least it doesn’t happen all the time.
Crandell,
The one thing that I have noticed recently is that, when I want to respond to a post, it takes about 10-15 seconds for the message box to completely load. And, if I want to edit my post, it initially comes up as a one block paragraph - intermixed with formatting symbols - and is essentially unreadable. After the alloted 10-15 seconds of time, my post becomes “legible” again.
Even only a couple of weeks ago, the box would load almost immediately. It seems some updates or changes in the forum software have taken place and are causing some glitches (growing pains) in the interim.

I do believe it is related to which version of what browser you are using. It has been discussed before.
I have had it happen only twice, but it was because I made two post within a short time span. I am using IE 7.0 .
