Floods in Midwest., upper midwest.,

Maybe I missed seeing it on Cnn, Fox, Cbs,Abc, Nbc,But I never heard of any looting., shootings.,breaking into gun stores., liquor stores department stores., grocery stores, etc., during the crisis that you all have endured last week or so., dont believe there were any stabbings, shootings., rapes., either., My hat goes off to all you for all you have gone through., maybe Cnn, Fox, Cbs, Nbc, Abc, will report on how you all handled the situation, versus the Katrina Fiasco God Bless![tup][tup]

Well not to sound jaded, but this is how peole in the Midwest act.We take care of our neighbors. In 1993 you never heard of this either.I wont go into socio economic or the whole entitlement mindset but yeah you get my point.

A lot of Katrinas horror stories were real but a lot were made up.Happens in all major disasters.

Thanks for the kind words, I am in Colorado ight now but am from Rock Island. We deal with fooding yearly in the spring. But nothing like this since 1993!

The scenes on TV are terrible… I wish the best to anyone, whether they are one of us or not, who is going through this tragedy. It is hard for those of us who haven’t to imagine what they have to deal with.

…That’s awful damage to infrastructure…! Looks like easily into the billions of dollars. Now it’s going to be necessary to spend some money on our infrastructure. Those photos really show expensive damage.

We’d like a little of that water here in Eastern Colorado 43,000 Acres burning and still going. (dry lightning started it)

Red Flag warning in effect here.

I recall the 93 floods.

We were able to purchase flood insurance but it will take a month to kick in. We are not in a flood zone however there are some hydro dams to our north much higher than we are in the hills. Purely defensive… the flood photos coming out this week north of St Louis appear to be biblical in scope compared to what I saw in 93.

I applaud the folks for showing grit and not quit in face of this problem. Oorah!
