Floquil thinner in Sweden?

I wonder if someone know what thinner I should use here in Sweden for Floquil paint? You are using Dio-Sol or lacquer thinner, right? And you can buy it in a quart or gallon?

The problem is that I do not know what it’s called in Sweden.

I’m in Australia, I use General Automotive All Purpose Thinners from one of the accessory auto dealers, only get the Cheap General All Purpose type, don’t be tempted to go upmarket and get higher quality or high gloss as if they are like here, they have more of something in them that attacks plastic.

Like anything, experiment on something of non-value first.

I would say similar products would be available in Sweden.

Electro,

I’ve used mineral spirits to wash brushes after painting with Floquil. You should be able to stop into a hardware store in Sweden and ask for paint thinner for enamel or oil-based paint.

I would sugest checking with one of the larger paint stores. Or a place in Sundsvall called artistica. That wouldn’t be to far away either.

I use lacquer thinner for Floquil, Scalecoat, Dullcote, Accupaint, Pactra, Humbrol and Testors paints, and it also works well as a solvent cement for styrene. Buy it by the quart or gallon (or litre) [;)], then decant it into smaller containers suitable to each particular use.
