Unusual move as the governor rejected this before. Should be interesting though as while I’m glad to see commuter rail in the central Florida area, it greatly misses the mark as the Tampa Bay metro area will be left out. Even in during the 1960s, people road the ACL (later SCL) passenger trains between Tampa -Orlando-Sanford regularly.
I also wonder about the stipulation CSX made previously about being “off the liability hook” if an accident occurs in which CSX is a fault.
Should be interesting as this unfolds.
