Florida steam locomotive taken out of service
Strange that they would schedule the annual at the beginning of the tourist season. Usually this inspection is a winter time event. Is six weeks normal?
Charles - Summer is Hurricane season in Florida. It far more uninhabitable than a Minnesota winter due to constant high humidity and daily temperatures flirting with the 100 + mark. Winter and spring are the Florida tourist seasons. (I relocated to FL from MN 2 years ago.)
Hope it gets back on schedule; I’ve seen that locomotive during my last trip to Tavares and it is a beauty. Might even get to ride with her next time…
