I have a American Flyer Alco PA 360. I have had trouble finding information on it. All I need is to know what is the correct lamp for the head light?
Thanks in advance.

Looks like the old 1449 bulb would do the job. Take a look at this site:

Does anybody know if its normal for Flyer diesels to run slow when cold, and then run much faster after they have had a chance to warm up? I have a 490 from 1956 and a 21927 from 1960, and they both run this way. Even after a thorough cleaning and lube they still run this way. Any info would be appreciated.
Got me, I am new to Flyer. I had a set given to me a little while ago and just broke it out and am giving two rail a try. Three rail has been my MO for the last 30 some years.
Mine was acting the same way untill I cleaned and greased, oiled and ran it backwards for a couple hours. After that I get good results out of the gate.
Yes, the 360-361 is a good runner, even though I have never gone after the horn to try to make it work. I like the impression it gives that it is realistically working hard - and sounds like it! - at medium-low speed with a train of 5-6 plastic red-stripers behind it as some wheel slippage occurs while going through a switch. After all, the BIG ones don’t have Pull-Mor either!
