Flyer 630 Caboose

Hi Guys,

I purchased an American Flyer 630 lighted Reading caboose yesterday,and have a few questions.

When was this cab made,I’m thinking early postwar 1946-48?

Also the plastic frame,and shell are a little warped,is this common?

The 630 was produced 1946 - 1952 in many variations. Some came non-illuminated. Early units warping was common and in late 46 or early 47 went to a die cast frame to help get away from them warping.

If yours has a die cast frame and warping someone had too hot of a bulb inside
