Flyer Reading 4-4-2 rear truck swap?

Does anyone know if a trailing truck from a Flyer K5 Pacific will fit (or can be made to fit) a Flyer Reading 4-4-2? I don’t yet have a K5 myself, so I can’t compare.

Are you talking a truck from like a 332 and putting it on a 322 or 302 or what?

Let me clarify: I have a 302 Reading 4-4-2.

I am toying with the idea of using a 315 K5 PRR Pacific trailing truck on it.

I wonder if it can be made to fit the 302 without major modifications.

The point of attachment for both trucks is the same I believe, but what may become an issue is attaching the tender. The 302 truck is also the point of attachment for the tender. If you use the 315 truck you will need to make a way to attach the tender similar to how the tender attaches on the 315, that is to a cross bar on the rear of the cab.

In short yes it can be done with out a major re-do

Great! It looked fairly straightforward, but since I don’t yet have a 315, I couldn’t look at a 315 truck to be sure. Thank you.
