Hooray for the return of the Flying Scotsman! Congratulations you laborers who brought it about! I pursued that grand loco when it was in our country in late 1969. My tour of your York Museum in 2014 was likewise magnificent.

I was at the NRM in York in 2012 and the Flying Scotsman was in pieces awaiting it’s new boiler. Glad to see it back together and running again!

But why on earth did it cost $6 million to restore? That’s the price of a completely new locomotive!
