Hi, I want to take the body off to fix a scaping noise and maybe lube the engine. The blowup drawing shows three parts. Nose,cab,main body. I can’t see any seams when I flex the body and I don’t want to stress it too much. Where do I press or pry? Any tips? Jay
I’m not sure about this particular engine…On newer Atlas engines, you generally have to remove the couplers, then the whole body assembly will come off. On the older ones, the walkway area was part of the chassis, and you removed the “upper” body and cab from that. In the latter case, be sure to disconnect any railings that connect between the two parts so they don’t break.
