Follow-up on Bridge/Travelling crane placement

Someone was asking awhile back about the placement of tracks relative to the Walthers travelling bridge crane (i.e. tracks parallel or perpendicular to craneways?). I was out today and found two examples.

The first pic shows the siding trackbed at Adamson Specialties in East Palestine OH off the P FtW & C mainline, which is off to the left, parallel to the craneways. The siding hugged the wall in the foreground and had a sharp little dogleg to line it up with the door ahead while running inside the crane. (The wall had a jog in it as well.) There is a small open area under the crane; compared to the Walthers model I’d say it was the same width but about a third again longer.

This next industry had two parallel cranes that may have run into the building at one time through opening where the green panels are. The mainline is behind me and the street runs parallel to it. The siding ran from lower left (you can see the sidewalk cut at bottom center and a railhead to the lower right) across the street where the asphalt is lighter and through the dumpster to run just to the right of the gray and yellow column, putting it under the rear crane.

Hope that helps,
